DESCRIPTION
Eternal Wanderer is a third person single player RPG. The player takes over a character that once used to be a selfish king. Cursed by his people he is set to eternally reincarnate to face the consequences. In order to break the curse you need to eliminate corruption and evil.
Producer
Eternal Wanderer started out as a story that I started writing back 2016. Over the years this story has gained a plethora of iterations to the point that it was started to turn into a book. Around 2018 I started creating small prototypes as it had a lot of potential for an interesting game with the narrative that it was following.

I unfortunately discovered at the time that I lacked in skills and resources. This was one of my main motivators for pursuing my Bachelors degree.
In 2022 I picked the project back up again. The story has had iterations up to that point so I had to start back from scratch pretty much. Other people saw potential in my concept as well and in 2023 we started working full-time on it with a team of roughly 12 people (voluntarily) that I recruited.

My primarily role was that of a Producer and secondary that of a Game Engineer focussing on Game AI.

As a producer I have to ensure that we have the right amount of people and the correct people for the things that we want to create. Eternal Wanderer is a big and ambitious project. So we need to be clever, smart, and efficient, especially in todays market.

In order to get our name out I arranged several events for our team to attend to. Some contained talks with potential interesting partners for our future plans. Those events were: AnimeCon, Night of the Nerds, Pitch Perfect, the Dutch ministry, and DGG Showcases.

At Pitch Perfect I learned how to deliver a proper pitch about our brand new studio and our game towards publishers, investors, and potential partners. Through feedback from people related to the aforementioned audience I managed to create a pitch that was less than 3 minutes in length!
​
As the producer I ensure together with the Creative Director that the project is going the right direction in terms of content and quality. I am also responsible for the long term timeline and the financial projections.
